Better than I had ever hoped

I'm not big on helmets and here in Illinois they are not required by law, but with numerous recent deaths in our area from everything from hitting deer to cows I figured I'd get one. I researched all the open face helmets and though I liked some of the more expensive ones I didn't want to pay alot for a helmet I wouldn't wear all the time. I settled on the Daytona and bought the flat black from Helmet Country. I just got it this morning and haven't worn it yet on a ride but wanted to give my impressions so far.
1. Price....lowest price I found at $49 plus shipping
2. Purchase.....Helmet Country was great to deal with and it was fast and easy
3. Shipping.....Came by UPS, cost about $14 and was here in 4 days
4. Quality.....seems fine, nice feel to it, really light and fits my head without bobble head or mushroom look.....
5. Fit....the important one...my head measures 22 1/2 inches and is oblong, shaped weird whatever. It is not round or perfect in anyway so I worried about the fit. I followed the size chart and ordered a large. It fits perfectly, goes on easy and is snug without being too tight, plenty of room for my ears and there is not problem with my head shape. I didn't think my head would fit in it at first...looked too small but it did and I am very pleased with the way it fits. Follw the size chart and I think you will be happy.
6. What you get....helmet in bag, visor and head wrap....not bad for the price
7. Concerns....my goggles don't fit tight on my face over the helmet.....I'll need to check this out more. Felt like it would be warm inside, but that is the cost of wearing a helmet.
All in all I think if you want an open face helmet at a good price and want to feel and look decent in it the Daytona Cruiser is a good one. Hope this helps those like me who read reviews for help and sometimes get conflicting reviews......this is my experience so far.
